Terms of Use

Last updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Halalem ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and contributors.

2. Community-Driven Platform

Halalem is a community-oriented, open-source platform. Content is submitted and reviewed by users. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or halal status of any content on this platform. Community verdicts are the collective opinion of users and do not constitute religious rulings (fatwas).

3. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful content
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Submit content that violates copyright or intellectual property rights
  • Use the platform to spread misinformation about religious rulings
  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate community votes
  • Attempt to scrape, copy, or reproduce the platform's data in bulk without permission

⚠️ 4. Security — Strictly Prohibited Activities

Halalem has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of security testing, hacking, or exploitation without explicit written authorization.

The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate permanent ban, reporting to relevant authorities, and potential legal action:

  • Penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, or security probing of any kind
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), CSRF attacks, or any form of web exploitation
  • Denial of Service (DoS) or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or tampering with the platform's code in production
  • Attempting to access other users' private data or accounts
  • Automated bots, scrapers, or crawlers that overload the platform

Violations may be reported to your Internet Service Provider (ISP), local law enforcement, INTERPOL's cybercrime division, and relevant Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs). We log all requests including IP addresses and timestamps.

If you are a legitimate security researcher and believe you have found a vulnerability, contact us privately at security@Halalem.com before disclosing anything publicly (responsible disclosure).

5. Content Ownership

By submitting content to Halalem, you grant the platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and share that content. You confirm you have the right to submit it. Movie/show/music metadata submitted is factual information and not subject to copyright. Cover images must be ones you own or that are in the public domain.

6. Disclaimer

Halalem is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not religious scholars and nothing on this platform constitutes a fatwa or religious ruling. Always consult a qualified scholar for definitive religious guidance.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
